Happy Vellum is a project born out of exploration and experimentation with SideFX Houdini’s Vellum solver. Initially conceived as a learning exercise to master the Vellum Balloon Solver, the project evolved into a cheery personal project.

The project centers around the creation of cheerful smiley face balloons using Vellum simulation. While the most obvious shape for the balloons would be a sphere, the decision was made to inject personality and charm into the design by forming them into smiley faces. This playful twist added a whimsical and playful touch to the project, turning ordinary balloons into animated characters with infectious smiles that can hopefully conquer any miserable mood.
